VM16 venting membranes for automotive headlamps

The VM16 is the self-adhesive venting membrane in the Gergovent line designed specifically for automotive headlamps.
Its two-layer structure (ePTFE and polyamide) combines ventilation performance with mechanical strength, while using 96% less ePTFE than comparable membranes on the market.

Technical features

Unlike equivalent membranes on the market, VM16 venting membranes reduce ePTFE consumption by 96% for the same performance and the same ventilation surface area.
VM16 membranes therefore not only help to optimise and reduce costs, but also massively reduce the use of PFAS.

Thanks to Side Protect technology, the VM16 membrane offers excellent resistance to very high-pressure spraying (200 bar). 

  • Mechanical resistance :

Thanks to its two-layer composition, the VM16 venting membrane combines both ventilation performance and mechanical resistance (up to >40N).
